Singapore Travel Guide | 4 Days / 3 Nights Itinerary and Expenses


Here's our own itinerary and expenses during our visit in Singapore.  You may want to take a look and get ideas while planning your own trip. :)

 ITINERARY
Day 1Sunday
10:30AMETA to Singapore
11:00AMBags missing, coordinating with airport officers
11:10AMDecided to wait for the next available flight for our missing baggage
1:45PMNext flight came but our bags still missing
2:15PMDecided to check-in in our hostel without our bags :(

(From Changi Airport) via MRT:
  [East West Line / Green Line] Changi Airport -> City Hall (change train)
  [North South Line / Red Line] City Hall -> Dhoby Gaut (change train)
  [North East Line/ Purple Line] Dhoby Gaut -> Little India
3:00PMArrived in Little India for check in (28 Dunlop Backpackers)
3:30PMCalled airport and were told that our bags were in the next flight (4-5pm)
3:45PM
Go back to SG airport to get our bags

(From Little India) via MRT:
  [North East Line/ Purple Line] Little India -> Dhoby Gaut (change train)
  [North South Line / Red Line] Dhoby Gaut -> City Hall (change train)
  [East West Line / Green Line] City Hall -> Changi Airport
6:45PMBack in 28 Dunlop Backpackers Hostel in Little India with our bags
7:00PM
Took a bus to Suntec (asked the receptionist for the bus number)
7:15PM
Arrived in Suntec, explored the IT sale
8:15PM
Off to Makansutra Gluttons Bay (thru walking)
8:45PM
Dinner in Makansutra Gluttons Bay
10:30PM
Took the same number bus but we went too far, took the same bus again going back.

Day 2Monday
7:00AMWake up, prepare & breakfast.
8:00AMOff to Orchard Road, exchange money in Lucky Plaza Mall

(From Little India) via MRT:
  [North East Line/ Purple Line] Little India -> Dhoby Gaut (change train)
  [North South Line / Red Line] Dhoby Gaut -> Orchard
10:00AMOff to VivoCity Mall

(From Orchard Road) via MRT:
  [North South Line / Red Line] Orchard -> Dhoby Gaut (change train)
  [North East Line / Purple Line] Dhoby Gaut -> Harbour Front
10:30AM
Early Lunch in Food Republic, Vivo City Mall
11:00AMOff to Universal Studios Singapore

(From VivoCity Mall) via Sentosa Express:
  Sentosa station -> WaterFront station
7:20PMOff to Marina Bay Sands Skypark

(From USS) via Sentosa Express:
  WaterFront station -> Sentosa station

(From VivoCity) via MRT
  [North East Line / Purple Line] Harbour Front -> Dhoby Gaut (change train)
  [North South Line / Red Line] Dhoby Gaut -> Marina Bay (change train)\
  [Circle Line / Orange Line] Marina Bay -> Bayfront
8:45PMArrival in Marina Bay Sands Skypark
9:30PMOff to Helix Bridge (thru walking), explore and take pictures along the way
10:40PMArrival in Helix Bridge
11:15PMTook a cab to our hostel


Day 3Tuesday
7:00AMWake up, prepare & breakfast.
8:30AMOff to Bugis Street for souvenir hunting

(From Little India) via MRT:
  [North East Line/ Purple Line] Little India -> Dhoby Gaut (change train)
  [North South Line / Red Line] Dhoby Gaut -> City Hall (change train) 
  [East West Line / Green Line] City Hall -> Bugis
9:45AMOff to Chinatown, explore temples and lunch at Maxwell Food Centre

(From Bugis) via MRT: 
  [East West Line / Green Line] Bugis -> Outram Park (change train)
  [North East Line/ Purple Line] Outram Park -> Chinatown
1:00PMOff to Sentosa

(From Chinatown) via MRT:
  [North East Line/ Purple Line] Chinatown -> HarbourFront

(From VivoCity Mall) via Sentosa Express:
  Sentosa station -> Beach station
1:45PMArrival in Sentosa, tried Skyluge, visit Seloso Beach
4:00PMBack to VivoCity mall to eat and have coffee (it was raining)

(From Sentosa) via Sentosa Express:
  Beach station -> Sentosa station
7:00PMOff to Sentosa to watch Songs of the Sea

(From VivoCity Mall) via Sentosa Express:
  Sentosa station -> Beach station
8:40PMOff to Helix Bridge

(From Sentoa) via Sentosa Express:
  Beach station -> Sentosa station

(From VivoCity) via MRT
  [North East Line / Purple Line] Harbour Front -> Dhoby Gaut (change train)
  [Circle Line / Orange Line] Dhoby Gaut -> Promenade
9:15PMArrival in Helix Bridge, photo ops
10:10PMBack to Esplanade station and took a bus to Fullerton Hotel
10:15PMArrival in Fullerton Hotel, walk to Merlion Park
10:30PMArrival in Merlion Park, photo ops
11:30PMTook a cab back to hostel


Day4Wednesday
8:00AMWake up, prepare & breakfast.
9:00AMOff to Bugis for more souvenir shopping and foodtrip

(From Little India) via MRT:

  [North South Line / Red Line] Dhoby Gaut -> City Hall (change train) 
  [East West Line / Green Line] City Hall -> Bugis
1:00PMBack to hostel, pack up and check out
2:30PMOff to Airport for a 5:40PM flight to Manila

TIPS:
Always check the updated train map of Singapore.  They continuously update and add more stations and route which is a good thing to make your journey a lot faster and convenient. 
Look for free SG map in airport or in malls.
Always check the park's website for the updated rates and schedule of shows.
Singapore is small but lot to offer.  If you have limited time, best to check different places or things to do and choose based on your interest.  I highly suggest tripadvisor website as people around the world do a review of different activities there. :)

That's a very cost effective itinerary. I'm from Philippines too but have been living in SG for a while. It really is one of the world's most expensive cities!
