2 Days / 1 Night Itinerary and Expenses - Camping in Calaguas and Surfing in Bagasbas




Itinerary:

Day 0Friday
8:30-9PMETD Philtranco Bus in Cubao/Off to Calaguas (the bus stopped at Pasay Terminal too)


Day 1Saturday
6AMDrop off and arrival in Talobatib Junction. Take a tricycle (or bus) to Paracale.
7AMMeet up Kuya Roberto in Paracale bridge (hired boatman for Calaguas)
730AMProceed to the Paracale Market to buy our foods and everything else we need
8:30AMBreakfast in a carenderia in Paracale.  Asked for packed lunch to eat in Calaguas
10AMETD Boat ride bound to Calaguas
12PMArrival in Mahabang Buhangin, Calaguas.
12:15PMLunch time at rented open cottage
1:30PMFree time
4:00PMStart cooking before it gets dark
4:30PMFixing our tents
6:30PMDinner time
7:30PMFree time, chitchat & drinking session

Things to Remember / Bring:
** Tent
** Flashlight
** Water - you can rent big gallons of water in Paracale for around Php 5 0(check a water refilling station near the market) just that you need to add deposit Php150. They will return it once you return the container to them.
** Eating utensils/plates - maybe you could bring your own plate or baunan, spoon and fork, nevertheless these are also available in the market.


If you plan on cooking check these items:
** Pugon - thankfully Kuya Roberto has a pugon and lend it to us
** Grill - You can ask the caretaker to buy fish and you can just grill it.  It's fresh and healthy! If I only knew it, baka puro isda nalang pala kinain namin hehe. We brought our own grill c/o my friend Imee.
** Cooking Utensil
** Gas
** Charcoal
** Match / Lighter
** Oil for cooking
** small knife


If not:
**canned goods
**can opener

Miscellaneous items:
** dishwashing paste/scrub
** garbage bags - let's be responsible campers.

  • Most of the things can be found in the market (talipapa), so if you dont want to bring a lot of things with you, just buy it there.
  • If it is peak season, book your bus ticket in advance.
  • You can go up the mountains of Calaguas for overlooking

Our Meals During Camping

Obviously, we love eating!

Lunch: Pusit, Fried Chicken, Rice, Ripe Banana, Green Mangoes with Bagoong
Dinner: Itlog na Maalat at Kamatis, Grilled Fish, Adobong Baboy, Ripe Mangoes, Rice
Breakfast: Canned Tuna, Scrambled Egg, Sauted Corned Beef, Rice, Liver Spread, Bread, Leftover Adobong Baboy
