Part4: Vigan-Laoag-Pagudpud Day1 - Heritage Village at Night and Dinner at Cafe Leona

Heritage Village at night shouldn't be missed as well.  From Casa Teofila Lodge, we took a tricycle to Calle Crisologo again, to witness the beauty of night lights of Heritage Village. (Fare: Php40/tricycle)

11th Stop: Heritage Village / Calle Crisologo at Night

Heritage Village is stunningly beautiful and romantic at night. We saw it by day, and it's really different during the night.  The souvenir shops are a big hit, and most of us were busy buying souvenirs and pasalubongs.  Even bagnets(around Php400+ per kilo) & chicacorn can be bought at the Heritage Village .  Souvenir shops are usually open until 9pm.

tired na mga friends?

Dinner at Cafe Leona

We're hungry but don't know where to eat. We walked towards Mang Inasal (around Heritage Village too), and beside it is Cafe Leona which seems to be another famous cafe/restaurant in Vigan City.

Cafe Leona has a wide variety of meals, from Filipino dishes, to Japanese sushi and Italian's pasta and pizza.  For pizza lovers, must try here is their thin-crust Bagnet KBL pizza.  KBL stands for kamatis(tomatoes), bagoong(fish paste), lasona (onions in Ilocos).  <Our dinner share was around Php150-200 each.>

This is the end of our first day in Ilocos.  It's just weird that when it gets dark, trike drivers charged us too much. (Fare - Php 80/tricycle)  Oh well, we're really tired and tomorrow will be a brand new day to Laoag!

I've been to Vigan several times already but have never tried the Bagnet KBL pizza. I'll make sure to remember that on my next visit. I love your night shots at Calle Crisologo :-)

I've been in Vigan last October 14,2010. Tried roaming around the city, especially the Baluarte, on board the Calesa. A nice city indeed! Yes, Heritage Village by night is a sight to behold. Made me remember my visit to Madrid, Spain. Conrtaulations for this nice post in a great blog!

Sabi ko na nga mas romantic sa gabi ang Heritage Village... I already a picture of it in Travel Scene Plus magazine and it was really romantic and lovely with all the lights.
