Cafe Uno / Kusina Felicitas
Kusina Felicitas is said to be one good place to eat your breakfast in Vigan City as it serves Ilocano cuisines, while Cafe Uno is its coffe shop that serves coffe, pastries and pasta. Both are adjacent to Grandpa's Inn (another famous hotel/lodge in Vigan) which I think is of the same owner. Their breakfast meal starts around Php100 that comes with egg, rice and a choice of coffee or tea. Vigan City is also famous for their delicacies and cuisines so why not try it when you're here.
We ordered longganisa, corned beef, tapa, and lumong-lumo(must try).
The place is quite cozy and you'll definitely love to dine here with its perfect heritage feel. We felt that this is the actual start of our Vigan City tour. We loved the place and couldn't resist to take pictures from here.
Touring Vigan
To tour the whole city, it's either you walk, take a tricycle or ride a calesa. Some of the places can be reached only by foot while some needs a ride. I wish I have a map but at least I was able to check places to see here. Calesa usually charges Php120/hour. I'm a bit stressed from overpricing of tricycle driver's rates ranging from Php 40-80 per tricycle. I hope the local government of Vigan will took action on tricycle drivers taking advantage of the tourists.
1st Stop: Calle Crisologo / Heritage Village
Few blocks away from Cafe Uno is the Calle Crisologo also known as the Heritage Village. This is what Vigan City is all about - the century-old houses that tourists would want to step in and see. We just took a walk from Cafe Uno to reach the Heritage Village.
Goosebumps were all over me when I entered Calle Crisologo. Astig! This place is something to be proud of. Proud that they were able to preserve the place for the next generation. I wonder how is it like during the spaniards colonization. Parang gusto ko mag baro't saya. (I feel like I want to wear a traditional blouse and skirt) You could also buy pasalubong along this street.

sana bumili ka ng tobacco, sana naisip mo akong bigyan. hehehehe... sana.
I went inside Grandpa's Inn to take a few shots. pero since I wnet to Vigan alone, I couldn't possible stay in even in their cheapest room. haha I like Vigan, esp at night and the locals are genuinely kind, the only downside is, mejo mahal ang mga rooms, not good for budget travelers like me. hehe
sir ahm sige next time :)
@pinaysolobackpacker
yup! the hotel seems a good feel of heritage but somehow pricey that's why we just stayed at casa teofila lodge. Good thing madami din kami kaya kahit pano nakamura nako.

it;s been a year pero all ilocos entries remind me of my bday hysteria. langyan, gutom na gutom ako nun. samantalang kayo, kain galore! kainggit! haha
Calle Crisologo is a real step in the old times of Spanish era of our country... it looks enigmatic.
